Nicholas Chrimes is a writer and lecturer on English and Chinese culture. He is the author of the best-selling book Cambridge -Treasure Island in the Fens* , among many published works in both English and Chinese. He is a Guest Professor or Consultant at a number of Chinese universities.

He has lived in and around the city for most of his adult life and is recognised as the leading authority on the city, its history and heritage; he continues to lecture and guide visitors around Cambridge.
