James retired after 25 years in Retail finance in 2018. He was Group Finance Director at Selfridges, following on from being FD of Kingfisher UK (B&Q and Screwfix), after 5 years as FD of Tesco Lotus Thailand. James was President of the Hawks’ Club in 1988-89, and has served on the London Dinner Committee ever since. James won his Blues at golf and football, and continues to enjoy playing golf, cricket, tennis and Eton Fives reasonably competitively.
James is now FD of the Hawks’ Trust and HCL, is Senior Treasurer of the Club, and supports Club activities wherever the President and his Committee need help.
