Michael studied Medicine at Emmanuel College from 2014 to 2020. Part of a rare winning LXs side in his first year, he received his first Blue (CURUFC) in his second year before going on to play in five Varsity Matches, winning 3. He served as both Secretary and Treasurer of CURUFC, and was a member of the Hawks’ Committee for three years, including two as President. During his presidency he played a key role in introducing the Ospreys to the clubhouse.
Michael graduated early during the COVID-19 pandemic and spent three years living and working in Brighton as a resident doctor. In 2023 he returned to Cambridge to begin postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine, and is currently an Academic Trainee at Addenbrookes Hospital. Alongside his NHS work he holds a number of medical roles across amateur and professional rugby.
In early 2026, Michael joined the Hawks Company Board as a Director.
