We welcome the new sporting year with our winter Clubhouse lunch. We shall gather in the Club at midday – and once more be looked after by our good friend, Sebastian Barker, of Cantab Catering.

- Main: Breast of Guinea fowl wrapped in pancetta

White wine to be served with starter: Sauvignon Blanc; red wine (Rioja) to be served with the main course

Our Guest Speaker is the Chair of CUWBC, Siobhan Cassidy. Siobhan now has responsibility for the most watched women’s sporting event Cambridge offers….. Because in 2015, for the first time, the Women’s Boat Race was staged on the same day and over the same distance as the world famous (men’s) University Boat Race, on the 6.8km Championship Course from Putney to Mortlake, in London. The race attracted 4.8 million viewers in the UK alone, and 250,000 spectators lined the banks of the Thames. CUWBC has won the last two races and the Club was a part of The Clean Sweep in 2018 when all four race winners wore Light Blue.
Siobhan will give us some insights into how the Club has made such great strides in recent years.
