This will be our first London alumni lunch and we will be in the splendid David Lloyd George Room of our reciprocal partners, The National Liberal Club. They have kindly offered to show members around this historic building beforehand, so please register your interest in advance. The Club is in Northumberland Avenue just a couple of minutes from Embankment tube.
Our speaker will be Dr Larry Amure ( Christ’s 1976-1979) he won his boxing Blue whilst studying for a PhD after Med School and went via neurosurgery to becoming a GP; he is now retired. He has been a regular after dinner speaker and claims to have ‘acquired 26 letters after his name’ – or, surely, the alphabet, as its known?…anyway, we welcome him and look forward to another enjoyable and banter-laden occasion.
Details: we gather, as is customary, for a pre-prandial snifter, then a 3-course lunch. Half a bottle of wine is included in the price. Additional wines may be chosen according to your palate.
Tony Murley (St Catharine’s 1977-81) is drumming up support for this event: email@example.com.
